Developed in collaboration between HOMAGE and iconic sportswear brand Starter, the G.O.A.T. jacket pays homage to the greatest athletes of all time through a never-before-seen combination of two iconic sportswear styles: the jersey and the varsity jacket.
Now pervasive throughout popular culture, the G.O.A.T. acronym was popularized by rapper LL Cool J, who, in 2000, released his eighth studio album entitled, G.O.A.T. featuring James T. Smith: The Greatest of All Time.
We begin our G.O.A.T series of jackets with a tribute to one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time -- Barry Sanders -- in honor of the NFL Draft being held in Detroit, Michigan, 35 years after Sanders was selected 3rd overall by the Lions. Each G.O.A.T. jacket features unparalleled attention to detail through the use of luxurious melton wool, napa leather, and high-end appliqué finishes. Only 144 jackets in the Lions' signature "Honolulu Blue" were made.
